Working as an Event Planner Event planners usually focus on the following tasks: Meet with their clients to understand the type of meeting or event they want to hold. Prepare planning and determine the cost, time and location. Ask and collect bids from service providers, including caterers, florists or venues. Visit venues to ensure they meet the clients' requirements. Manage service details like booking rooms or transportation, preparing product giveaways. Supervise the service providers and staff the day of the event. Revise invoices and approve payments.
